Pastel perfection

Many times you readers wonder why us bloggers show only our fellow bloggers in the pictures and never our “regular” friends. Well, the fact of the matter is that most of the time our friends are quite camera shy, and don’t want to be photographed to a public diary viewed by thousands of people every week. I totally understand and I respect their wish. Therefore, I was extremely happy when my friend Laura, who is by the way always impeccably dressed, agreed to be part of the Nikon’s “I AM” street style campaign and allowed me to take a picture of one of her amazing outfits. I’m jealous of her ability to match colors and make them look so desirable, even for a black lover like me.  I mean, just take a look.

If you like Laura’s outfit, you can vote for her look over here (sorry only in Finnish) and possibly win a Nikon Coolpix digital camera. Good luck!

  1. Awesome style! Has anybody ever mentioned that you guys look like twins or sisters? 😀 And that’s just a positive comment because both of you are really beautiful.

Btw, I’m really interested in how you’ve learnt English so well? I mean, you’re Finn so have you been in an English school or something? Your blog’s just amazing and I love to read it, keep up the good work!

    1. I haven’t heard that one before but Laura is really pretty so its a compliment for sure. 🙂 Thank you.

I have done my Bachelors degree completely in English and I have always been interested in the language as such. Having a boyfriend from the U.S. helps too, we speak English with each other everyday. I also work for an international company where the common language is English, so I get a lot of training. What comes to the writing skills, I’d say reading books and magazines written in English helps A LOT. I can recommend that to everyone who wants to improve their writing. 🙂

Thank you so much, you’re so sweet!:) I’m happy to hear you like my blog and welcome again!

  2. That’s such an amazing shot! You should have an own street style site. 🙂
Laura looks so darn beautiful it kind of makes my eyes ache a little.(And darn her for having that H&M Trend dress I’ve been seriously coveting lately.)

    1. Awws thank you so much for the compliment! I hope I’ll develop more as a photographer, perhaps a street style site would not be a bad idea. 😉 I have to agree with you, Laura looks so stunning!

  3. Oh my, I’m blushing :). Thank you Anna-Maria and everyone else for your lovely words!
    Anna, you’re an amazing photographer!

    1. You’re an amazing subject!:) Maybe I should start taking more pictures of people since this project was so much fun and you guys are so supportive. 🙂

    1. Heips! Joo huomasin, sorry olen ollut itse asiassa koko viikonlopun Tukholmassa enkä ole ennättänyt käydä kommentoimassa takaisin. 😉 Se laukku on upea, täytyy ehdottomasti pistää harkintaan. 🙂

    take care xx

    1. Hey there! I’m back and still jet lagged hhahahah.. Well, my boyfriend says we are actually boat lagged. Probably true. 😀

Stockholm was amazing and so springy!! This time I went for basics since I’m trying to save for our Paris trip in June. I got some gray tees from AA and the famous circle scarf also in gray. We also found great sample sale from JUS where I scored a black Nakkna dress and a Rick Owens DRK SHDW cape shirt for a really great price. I think they had been worn by the models in the Stockholm fashion week, that’s why they were there. I left behind a nice Helmut Lang blazer (not with a sample price though, I wish..) hoping that Paris will have the PERFECT one waiting for me. 😉 More about those findings later in the up and coming posts, I promise!

I know a few people who would kill for that Miu Miu collar, you’re so lucky to be able to match that kind of feminine piece with your rougher wardrobe. I think I would probably look out of place with it, depending on the styling of course. I can’t wait to see you wearing it!! 🙂

You know, the closest I’ve actually gone to pink ruffles (since I was a kid) is this outfit: http://fashionflux.indiedays.com/2009/05/17/wallflower/ and I love love love that powder pink shirt. It will pop in my spring and summer outfits for sure. 😉

I didn’t manage to take too many pics in Stockholm, I was so busy just shopping and eating sushi hahah. None of the outfit pics taken made the cut though, unfortunately. But I’ll try to come up with something!:) As soon as this boat lag eases off heh.

      xoxo

  5. You look so great, love this so much:), I’m so glad that I have founded your blog, your outfit posts are amazing.

    lots of hugs
    xo

  6. Apua..
