Max it up!

There is a reason why I hardly ever throw away anything from my past, take this velvet maxi dress for example. It has been residing in my parent’s attic since I wore it the last time, in my junior high school’s Independence Day ball in 1997. Mixed with my favorite blazer from last summer and the Ann Demeulemeester wedges, it’s actually very 2010. The only thing I had forgotten is that velvet is an extremely hot material but I guess for a sickie like me, it was the perfect choice to keep me warm throughout Thursday’s hectic schedule.

The maxi saga continues: a dreamy soft maxi skirt has just moved into my closet but more about that later…

  1. I’m the same, I tend to keep everything. Glad to see that it pays off!

Though, if I were you, I’d take the dress in a bit to make it tad more 2010!

    1. Haha yeah… I guess what goes around comes around. ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree, it’s a bit wide from the hem but I’m afraid I’m gonna mess up it’s shape if I take it in (it’s actually an evening gown). In the pictures it looks even more wider from certain angles, in reality the fabric is more descending. I have something more 2010 in my closet which I will come back to very soon.

  2. oh no, your white top’s is really good. and you have great job anyway, many girls was killing each other to find the same job like u. hehehheee….

    1. Thanks! Heh, my regular work (I work in an office) is not that interesting but being part of Indiedays has definitely given me amazing opportunities!

    1. I know! I was complaining that I don’t have a good blazer but I had totally forgotten this one. Zara really knows how to make blazers. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I still need a basic black one and I’m hoping to raid Zara this coming up weekend. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Thank you! This jacket was a great find last summer (got it from Barca’s Zara) and I’m sure you will see more of it when the spring progresses. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s actually a beautiful bluish off-white, such an amazing color!
