The last day of summer

After getting home from work today, I decided to celebrate this exceptionally warm day by changing into relaxed shorts, and enjoying a cone of pistachio and green apple flavored gelato. While eating my Italian ice cream (best thing ever!), I noticed that some red and orange color is already appearing on some of the tree tops at the local park, meaning fall is just around the corner. In a way I am excited because I love all the layering and dark colors of fall fashion, but on the other hand I’m a bit sad to say goodbye to summer and all the easiness it brought into dressing. However, since there are still ten days left of what is officially considered summer, I’m trying to enjoy this second last summer weekend at full blast. I hope you are doing the same!

  1. I hope summer will come here soooon! Today was so cold, I should had brought gloves. I think nothing can be more stylish and classy than winter clothes, with its all layers. You made me think about a place that sell the most delicious cherry ice-cream ever!I liked your shorts! 🙂

  2. ou man, I just ate green apple gelato. it IS good! I was also thinking how to enjoy of the last summer days. ItÂŽs so hard because sun doesnÂŽt shine like it used in july and wind blows like in autumn. what I desided is to go out, read about lovely new fall fashion and drink ice coffee. Then itÂŽs kind of like being between summer and fall.

  3. Nyt mĂ€ vasta tajusin mitkĂ€ shortsit noi on! (Korkea vyötĂ€rö ja solmittava vyö jne.) Sovittelin niitĂ€ itse kesĂ€llĂ€ Zarassa ja nĂ€ytin aivan pöyristyttĂ€vĂ€n jĂ€rkyttĂ€vĂ€ltĂ€ ne pÀÀllĂ€. Sulla noi on upeat! EpistĂ€, niin epistĂ€. (Ja oho, olin niin tohkeissani ettĂ€ kommentoin suomeksi.. 🙂 )

  4. Sori en oo ees aatellu ettĂ€ kommentoin vÀÀrĂ€llĂ€ kielellĂ€, mutta kun niin kovasti haluan kommailla ja sitte en osaa enkkua kauheen hyvin, eli aika huono yhdistelmĂ€. Mutta vitsit nuo dr martensit, meinasin huudella niitĂ€ netistĂ€, pitĂ€isköhĂ€n. NĂ€yttĂ€vĂ€t sulla niin hyvĂ€ltĂ€ 🙂

  5. Hei, luin Mangolisan blogista, ettet syö punaista lihaa. Ihan vain uteliaisuudesta kysyisin, ettĂ€ mikĂ€ on tĂ€mĂ€n pÀÀtöksen takana, eettiset syyt tai esim. maku? Olisi mielenkiintoista kuulla, sillĂ€ ajattelin itse luopua punaisesta lihasta "ihan virallisesti".Ihanaa syksyĂ€ (tai mikĂ€ tĂ€mĂ€ vuodenaika sitten onkaan kun aamulla pitÀÀ olla lapaset ja iltapĂ€ivĂ€llĂ€ tekee mieli kiskoa pitkĂ€hihaista pois pÀÀltĂ€…)!

  6. The one good thing about fall is fall fashion. :)I almost bought those white Doc Ms at One Way's summer sale, but I suspected that I wouldn't be able to pull off the look. They are fantastic on you, and I now kind of wish I had been braver… 🙂

  7. Nathalia: Oh yeah, you guys have a winter now huh? I love fall but I detest the Finnish winter; it's especially bad for the blog because in Finland it's so dark and cold that you can't really dress in anything nice and taking pictures after work is impossible due to the darkness. Can't wait for fall though and all the layering! 😉 Cherry ice cream is the best! :)Je m'appelle Viivi: Mmm, I love anything made out of green apples! I kind of like this in-between season: it's not too hot but it's not cold either. Your idea about the ice coffee and fashion mags sounds very tempting! :)La Mode is Rad!: Thanks, they are super comfy!Hanna Persson: You should totally get them. They are quite rough in the beginning but mine have started to soften out now, yay!:)Mindye: Thank you!:)Helen: Thanks! The boots are my new favorite thing, for sure. :)NinaV: Juurikin ne! Ne on aika kummat shortsit, koska nĂ€yttĂ€vĂ€t vĂ€lillĂ€ aika jĂ€rkyiltĂ€ myös mun pÀÀllĂ€ni ja vĂ€lillĂ€ taas sitten ihan huipuilta. Outoa! Antaa mennĂ€ vaan!:)Out of the mist: This outfit is extremely comfy, thanks!:)wry: Se lĂ€hti oikeastaan siitĂ€, ettĂ€ joskus viidennellĂ€ luokalla lakkasin syömĂ€stĂ€ sian lihaa ihan puhtaasti makusyistĂ€. 🙂 Olen pari kertaa maistellut poron kuivalihaa, mutta siihen mun punaisen lihan syönti sitten jÀÀkin. Olen huomannut olevani jaksavaisempi ja painonhallinta on ollut paljon helpompaa lopetettuani punaisen lihan syönnin. :)The Waves: True, true. 🙂 Awws, that sucks. Now you can probably find them online on discount, though. :)Valencia Lia: Awws, thanks!:) Comfy indeed…Lilee: Thanks! Me too..

  8. Lovely shoes! Autumn has been coming here in the UK for weeks now – ridiculously early. I love the colours, but autumn to me means rain and the imprending darkness of winter. Nothing like a little pessimism!

  9. MiriamFashion: Cool! Yours sound nice. :)Mysterycreature: Oh, anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a huge pessimist too, haha. This year I am trying to enjoy every single little thing, and it has kind of worked. I love these autumn days but I must admit that I'm a bit worried about the coldness and the rain that will follow soon after.. And then the winter grr, can't even think about it now. :DNerdic: They really are so comfy! Sucks that summer is over, so I can't really wear them as much. Thanks!:)Helen: Kiitos vinkistĂ€! Sain piirtĂ€jĂ€ltĂ€ luvan kĂ€yttÀÀ tota mun blogissa (koska siinĂ€ oltiin me heh), joten se tullaan varmaan nĂ€kemÀÀn pian tÀÀllĂ€. 🙂
